Photoshoot inspiration

Below is a gallery of photoshoot pictures from different brands, which we drew inspiration from to our photoshoot. We were lucky enough to have our photoshoot in the Brighton Museum which has lovely old staircases and beautiful tiling all around. We draw inspiration from quite old fashioned photographs, paying attention to the surroundings as well as our actual products. We found this location to be suitable to our target customer and during our photoshoot we met plenty of people who would fit in our market niche.

As our location was a museum and an art gallery, we wanted to not just take pictures of the garment but also pay focus to our surroundings, making the garments and their wearer look like they belong there. The above pictures are not just focusing on the clothes but also showing the different contrasts and textures behind the model and the garment.

We like the dark shades and slightly blurred focus of these shots, making the garments and the diverse models look mysterious. The photos have a slight retro element to them which we find beautiful.

These are some lighter shots we found and are using them as ideas for product shots we are taking later in a professional white setup. We believe the jumpsuits would look great with the chair pose on the left, and in our lookbook we could pay focus on the details by framing them in the Balenciaga way (on the the right).
