Story
In our location photoshoot, we hope to represent the cultural interests of our target customers by visiting the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery. The place will present our products in an everyday environment, somewhere, that our target customer would possibly wear them, for example to an exhibition launch they would be invited to.
>> As she walks down the narrow corridors of the museum, the Karelian woman turns heads of the people passing by. She observes her surroundings with an open mind, eyes focusing on the details not many other notice first. The colours and textures take her attention as she moves her fingers across the old tiling on the walls. She is not scared to stand out from the crowd, nor show her values and views through her fashion choices. She doesn’t just invest to herself; she invests in the world and the future. <<
Location
We are going to have a location shoot in Brighton, visiting the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. If the day allows we will also take pictures around the Pavilion Gardens.
With the studio photoshoot, we hope to achieve a look more suitable for product shots and something to work on for the lookbook. The white background we aim to use will allow us more freedom to play with the styling.
Models
We have decided to collaborate with Salina for our product shots, who has worked with us before and has turned out to be extremely professional. She has perfect measures for the more editorial look we hope to achieve with the studio shots.
For the Brighton photoshoot we are working with Sophie Wing, who we found more suitable to present the jumpsuits in location shots. She is joyful to work with and will represent our target body type more realistically than Salina.
Styling and props
Having thought about the story and location you will now need to consider how you will communicate these through styling and props. Use the space below to document your ideas regarding: hair/make-up, accessories, other garments and footwear that can be used to style your product, props relating to your story/look.
For both studio and location shots we want a high ponytail for a professional look. Both of our models have long hair which this will compliment. Black heels in both occasions will also add length and make the posture more graceful. The accessories will be kept to minimum as with both jumpsuits there will be a lot to look at.
Photographer
Oliver Whitehead has previously collaborated with us and has produced some amazing photographs for us. We intend to use him in this project, as we know the quality of the pictures will be highly professional and he will work efficiently to return the pictures. He is incredibly friendly to work with and will give his artistic views to the photoshoot.
For the Brighton photoshoot and filming we have decided to use our own intuition. For this photoshoot, we hope to achieve a more natural and organic look, use a flash and hopefully gain some textures in the pictures.
Post Production work
We have decided to stylize the images to go with our business plan and moodboard. We intend to continue the organic look and playfulness with denim texture, and carry on using the blue-and-red colour scheme. The post production work for the lookbook will be mainly done by Lauren, and some of the content added to the website will be edited by Sanna.
